Angus Freeman, 84, of Manor died Thursday morning (Juan. 5, 2012) at Satilla Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born in Havana, FL to the late John Fletcher and Elenor Claire Nicholson Freeman and lived in Waycross since 1950 and moved to Manor in 1998.
Sr.. Freeman began working at the age of 15 at King Edward Cigar in Quincy, FL and later transferred to Waycross and worked his way through the company and retired after forty-six years of service. After retirement he worked part-time at Southern Automotive and General Bearing. Sr.. Freeman loved to fish, traveling with the “Over The Hill Gang”, and doing repairs for his family and friends. He was a member of Victory Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Winnette Booth; a grandson, Michael Smart; dos hermanos, Charles Freeman and John Freeman; tres hermanas, Belle Livingston, Margaret Cook and Eloise Baize.
