Donald Rockett Kindley, 80, de Valdosta, died on Sunday, Avril 8, 2012. He was born on Oct. 25, 1931 in High Point, N.C. to the late Arthur Lowe and Ruby Rockett Kindley, and grew up and attended high school in Miami, Fla. After graduation, He served 23 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. His primary jobs were as a flight engineer on the C-97, C-124, and C-141 aircraft, accumulating over 14,000 flight hours. His flying career took him all over the world, including multiple operations in the Vietnam War. Following his career in the Air Force, he managed a local office supply company and cabinet manufacturing plant. He was a master carpenter of fine furniture and cabinetry. M.. Kindley was a devoted Catholic an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church for forty years. He was distinguished as a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known by his family and all that knew him as a strong and resourceful man that carried a kind and gentle spirit. He was characterized by a deep devotion for his wife and family and was loved and respected by all that knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 ans, Beverly Marie Kindley of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Robin Kay and Beck Glasscock of Brunswick, Géorgie.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery D. and Susan Kindley of Oakton, VA.; trois petits-enfants, Shelby Cole Glasscock, Jeffrey Kyle Kindley, and Cannon Lowe Glasscock; his mother-in-law, Eve DeMuzzio Dopko of Valdosta; brother and sister-in-law, Edwin Lowe and Phyllis Kindley of Tacoma, Wash.; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia Mills of Valdosta and Joyce and William Lenz of St. Marie, Géorgie.; and Uncle and Aunt, Marvin and Lena Rockett; de nombreux neveux et nièces. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Edward Dopko.
