Eddie “Gus” Augustus Steed, 98, of Hortense, died late Sunday night (Febbraio 5, 2012) at Bayview Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born in Fitzgerald, Ga, his parents were Eddie Augustus, Sr., and Janie House Steed. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Laura Jim Brown Steed, two brothers and a sister.

Eddie was a member of the First Methodist Church in Brunswick, and also a member of the Hortense Fishing Club. He was a retired Lab Technician from the pulpmill, and served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corps and served in WWII.

I sopravvissuti sono 2 sons and daughter-in-laws, William E. and Barbara Steed, and Jim and Debra Steed, both of Hortense; 3 nipoti, Spencer Steed, Guy Steed, and William and Viva Steed; 2 pronipoti, Carrettiere, and Amelia Steed, all of Hortense. Inoltre, diversi nipoti, nipoti, e altri parenti.
