Eliot Estel Battle III, 67, of Sandy Springs and Tifton passed away at his home in Tifton on Sunday, Noviembre 27, 2011, tras una larga enfermedad. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Noviembre 30, 2011, en la Capilla de Bowen-Donaldson Inicio de Funerales. Father Lonnie Lacy will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date in Attapulgus, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Noviembre 30, 2011, immediately following the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be at the home of Spud and Sherry Bowen at 811 Murray Avenue in Tifton. Eliot was born on August 28, 1944 in Quincy, Florida and was the son of Eliot and Bernice Battle, ambos ya fallecidos. He was also preceded in death by one niece, Pam B. Bragdon. He was a graduate of Tift County High School, the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy. He was retired as director of the Pharmacy at St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital in Atlanta. Sr.. Battle is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jill Battle Bowen and Jimmie Bowen Sr. de Tifton; two nephews, Spud Bowen and his wife Sherry, Chip Bowen and his wife Fern, todos Tifton; one niece, Stacie Branch and her husband Danny of Jesup; six great-nephews; two great-nieces; and his Tifton caregiver, Gilbert Morgan.
