Euclide Wayland (E. W.) Haddock, Jr., Air Force Retired, 89, of Oxford, GA and formerly of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, Juin 7, 2011 at Newton Medical Center in Covington, Géorgie. M.. Haddock was born on February 6, 1922 in Lauderdale County, Alabama to the late Euclide Wayland, Sr. and Emma Haddock of Florence, Alabama and was a longtime resident of Valdosta until moving to Oxford in 2009. He was a 1940 graduate of Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, Tennessee and retired from the Air Force in 1968 while stationed at Moody Air Force Base. M.. Haddock served in World War II, Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 13 and loved flying small aircraft, soloing at the age of 16.
Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Linda and Charlie Bramhall of Loganville, Géorgie; son and daughter in law, John Haddock and Susan Irons of Cobden, IL; granddaughter, Katie Harrell of Macon, GA and many friends at the Merryvale Assisted Living Center in Oxford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Joyce Haddock and a sister, Marcella Haddock Kliman.
