Lavern Lee Buchanan, 73, de St. Marys passed away Wednesday, Jean. 4, 2012, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.

Born Feb. 7, 1938, in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Broward and Willie Lee Buchanan.

M.. Buchanan had been a resident of Camden County for 40 years and had been employed with Gilman Paper Company for 20 ans. He moved to Arkansas for two years where he worked for Potlatch Corp., then on to Dublin to Southeast Paper Manufacturing Company for eight years. He retired from Stone Container in Jacksonville, Floride, with 11 years of service.

M.. Buchanan was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Marys and loved gardening.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 ans, Sabina Trey Buchanan of St. Marys; three sons, Richard B. Buchanan (Mary Jane) of Kingsland, Russell L. Buchanan (Sandy) de St. Marys and A. Trey Buchanan (Tammey) of Mayo, Floride; sœur, Christie Mobley of Mayo, Floride; sept petits-enfants, Racheal Barrick (Donald), R. Micheal Buchanan (Glenda), Keely Dujak, Chase Buchanan, Madison Buchanan, Lisa Pierce and Amber Williams; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
