Lehura Taft Delk, 64, died Sunday night, (Novembre 6, 2011) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a native of Millwood and had lived most of her life in Waycross. She was the daughter of the late Leon Taft and Fannie Jane Wilson Taft. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Margie Barnett, Betty Murray, Josie Harper, and Ruby Sellers. She was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church of Albany and was a former demo coordinator with Sam’s Club in Albany for fifteen years. Survivors include her son, William Scott Shaver (wife Tonya) of Knoxville, TN; cinq petits-enfants, Allison Shaver, Andrew Shaver, Isabelle Hickey, Austin Hickey, and Ethan Shaver; four siblings, Jack Taft (wife Shirley) of Pensacola, FL, Virginia Walden (husband Johnny) of Waresboro, Roy Taft of Waycross, and Dorothy Price (husband the late Glen) of Albany; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and her best friend, Bill Delk.
