Dan Spencer will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mme. Chastain passed away June 6, 2011 at Archbold Hospital. Born Aug. 25, 1932 Pine Parc, she was the daughter of the late Lucious G. Ham and Alexis Ballard Ham. On August 29, 1954, she married Shelton K Chastain who survives. Mme. Chastain graduated from Ochlocknee High School in 1949; she attended business school and worked for First Baptist Church as music and youth secretary. She was a devout Christian and she walked closely with the Lord. Although she had many illnesses, she enjoyed singing, sewing, YMCA fellowship and adored her grandchildren.

Survivors include children, Melody Lloyd and husband Terry of Loganville, Kim Bauman and husband Fred of Orlando, Floride, Tina Richards of Thomasville; petits enfants, Jenna Reid and husband Charlie, Nic Lloyd, Mary Daughtry and husband Chris, John Richards Jr. and Paige Richards.
