Mary Sue Chappell, âge 69, of Alma died early Thursday morning February 9th, 2012 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late John Wesley Johnson and Dorthy Meeks Johnson and was also preceded in death by a son, Marty T. Chappell and a brother, Lavern Johnson. Mary Sue was employed with the City of Alma for many years working in the 911-EMS Department and recently as secretary for the Alma Police Department. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Southern Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 48 ans, Fred Thomas Chappell of Alma, une fille, Lisa Hodges and husband Kevin of Alma, un frère, Larry E. Johnson of Alma, deux soeurs, Betty L. Taylor and Deanie M. Ellis of Alma, two grandchildren, Logan and Zoie Hodges of Alma.
