Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Jones of Abbeville will be held at 11a.m. Jueves, Juan. 19, 2012 at Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Baker and Rev. Rex Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. La familia recibirá a los amigos de 7-9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Sr.. Jones, 57, of Abbeville, murió el martes, Juan. 17, 2012, en su residencia. He was born in 1954 in Fitzgerald, the son of Myra Joyce Latham Jones of Irwin County and the late Charles L. “Charlie” Jones.
He graduated from Irwin County High School in 1974 and has lived in Wilcox County since 2003. Sr.. Jones was a retired maintenance mechanic from Delphi. He was a member of the UAW and the National Wildlife Federation and had created a backyard wildlife habitat.
Sr.. Jones was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. He had a love for the Ocmulgee River, motorcycling, woodworking and photography.
Además de su madre, he is survived by his wife, Paula Johnson Jones of Abbeville; niños, Shane Jones of Irwin County, Kristyn (Andy) McCrimmon of Fitzgerald, Jody (Laura) Branch and Josh (Anna) Branch all of Irwin County; nietos, Danielle Jones, Gabe Jones, Magnum Jones, Mia McCrimmon, Brylee Branch, Shelby Branch, Cody Branch, McKenzie Branch and Harper Branch; hermanas, Compartir (Gerald) Brewer of Fitzgerald, Anissa Jones of Tifton and Kim Jones of Jacksonville, FL as well as several nieces and nephews.
