Robert Lane, 78, of Brantley County died Sunday morning (Mars 18, 2012) at Bayview Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born in Hoboken to the late William Lawton and Mattie Corrine Williams Lane and lived in Brantley County all of his life. M.. Lane worked for King Edward Cigars until 1994 when his health declined while working. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. M.. Lane loved to hunt, fish, listen to music and play the Harmonica.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Holly Nacole Anderson; cinq soeurs, his twin sister, Reba Lane, Mary Lois Lane Coad, Hazel Lane Byrd, Thelma Lane Lee and Edna Lane Lee.
Survivants comprennent sa femme, Nancy Melton Lane of Waycross; six children, Robert Danny Lane and his wife Teresa of Waycross, Cynthia Elizabeth Lane Anderson and her husband Alex of Waycross, Alan Jeffrey Lane and his wife Lori Ann of Waycross, Mary Eunice Lane Wilson and her husband Emory of Waynesville, Larry William Lane and his wife Diane of Hoboken, Julie Diane Shiflett of Waynesville; 13 petits enfants, Christopher Nettles and his wife Brittany of Waycross, Robert Foster Barnard and his wife Kandy Barnard of Craigsville, WV, Charles Allen Barnard and his wife Wendy of Waycross, Austin Alan Lane of Waycross, Aaron Robert Lane of Waycross, Nora Welborn and her husband Scott of Raleigh, Caroline du Nord, Emory Justin Wilson of Hinesville, Géorgie, Josh Butler Lane and his wife Denise of Waycross, James C. King of Hoboken, Ashley Lane, Heather Lane and Hilary Lane all of Waynesville; 20 arrière-grands-petits-enfants; three sisters, Doris Lane Griffin of Waycross, Helen Lane Crews and her husband Harry of Hortense, Joyce Lane Johns of Nahunta; un frère, William B.
