Roger McMillan Reeb, 89, of Fitzgerald died Wednesday, Décembre 14, 2011, at the Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla.
Les services funéraires auront lieu à 2:00 PM Friday, Décembre 16, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mike Ruffin officiating. Elaine Ogden, David Ogden and Amanda Griffin will give eulogies. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière Evergreen. Les visites auront lieu à partir 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
Ms. Reeb was born February 28, 1922 in Irwin County to the late Dr. John E. and Fannie Dickson McMillan. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1939, graduated from the University of Georgia with a Batchelor of Science in Home Economics, attended Georgia Southern College and received her Juris Doctor and Master of Law from Atlanta Law School. Ms. Reeb held many positions including, Assistant Buyer for Rich’s in Atlanta, Field Director-District Director for Potomac Area Camp Fire Girls, Oakland, CA, Kindergarten Teacher for Hayward Elementary School, Hayward, CA, Assistant to Home Economics Director for UNESCO
Center of Fundamental Education in Patcuaro, Mexico, Adult Education Advisor for Women’s Education Project, YWCA-AID, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Associate Home Economist-Extension Service for the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI, Director of Consumer Services Project, Economic Opportunity in Atlanta, Legal Assistant for the Department of Consumer Affairs for the city of Atlanta, and Assistant Professor in Home Economics. After retiring she was a volunteer teacher in Fitzgerald, Géorgie.
She is survived by nephews, Kirk McMillan of Cumming, Géorgie, the Rev.Robin McMillan and Dick McMillan, both of Charlotte, Caroline du Nord; several cousins and many friends including Elaine Ogden, Amanda Griffin and Katrina Bush. Avec ses parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Pearce Harris McMillan and John McMillan, Jr.
