Born January 15, 1950, in Colquitt County, to the late Willie James Jackson and Myrtice Hamm Tapp of Tifton, Sr.. Jackson was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Wallace Tapp; one grandchild, Dakota Leigh Jackson; y un hermano, Arthur Jackson. Sr.. Jackson had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Gulf South Pole and Lumber Company. He loved fishing and working outside, and he loved his grandchildren and the outdoors. Sr.. Jackson was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn.In addition to his mother, Sr.. Jackson is survived by his wife, Betty Partridge Jackson of Nashville; his stepmother, Mary Jackson of Albany; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Rodney and Jeana Jackson of Perry, Fla., Derrick and Amanda Jackson of Nashville, Ronnie Partridge of Gadsden, Ala., and Mike Chumley of Tifton; tres hermanos, Troy Tapp of Tifton, Willie James Jackson Jr. of Albany and Jessie Jackson of Colquitt; cuatro hermanas, Sharon Jackson of Albany, Debbie Jackson of Sylvester, Jan Moore of Tifton and Sherry Johnson of Conyers; and seven grandchildren, Brittanee Jackson, Taylor Purvis, Brooklyn Jackson, Trinity Jackson, Wyatt Jackson, Shaye Eason and Kent Jones II.
