Wilma Brannon, Alter 72 von Douglas, passed away Thursday, Oktober 13, 2011, at St. Joseph’s-Candler Hospital in Savannah following an extended illness.

Frau. Brannon was born in Pearson, Ga., to the late George and Annie Jane Bledsole Duggan on April 22, 1939. She had worked as a sales floor associate at Walmart. Frau. Brannon was preceded in death by her daughter, Delaine Brannon Hires.

Überlebende schließen ihr Mann, James Brannon of Douglas; eine Tochter, Deborah Brannon of Douglas; eine Schwester, Lorraine Shellnutt of Birmingham, Ala.; und zwei Enkelkinder, Heather and Lucas Hires.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Oktober 15, 2011, at Royals Church Cemetery in Atkinson County with Rev. Den Weniger officating. Music was provided by Mindy Conner, Polly Ballentine and Heather Hires, who sang, “Beulah Land” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.”

Pallbearers were Courtney Fletcher, Craig Craithers, D. J. Jakob, Lucas Hires, Freddie Davis and John Davis.
