M.. Snowden was born April 12, 1932 dans Homerville, Georgia to the late Charles E. and Mary Hagen Snowden. A 1950 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, he was a retired conductor for CSX Railroad, after working for Atlantic Coastline Railroad and Seaboard Coastline which later became CSX. He was a member of the UTU, Bethlehem Baptist Church and was a former member of Arbor Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle.

Snowden, Jr. de Fitzgerald; Daughters: Nancy & Harry Warren of Winder and Brenda and Lamar Wright of Irwin County; Grandchildren: Delana, Christy, Scotty, and Carol Lynne and 5 arrière-grands-petits-enfants; Brother: Joe and Betty Snowden of Fayetteville; Sisters: Ruth Dorminy of Macon and Elva Wilkerson of Fayetteville as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Lisa Snowden and Nolan Snowden, frère, Louis Snowden and sisters, Mary Player and Christine Wilson.
