Chris Hawkins, 60, of Charlotte, Caroline du Nord, formerly of Bowens Mill Christian Center died Monday, Octobre 24, 2011.
Memorial services will be 7 PM Thursday, Octobre 27, 2011, at Joy Christian Fellowship Church in Matthews, Caroline du Nord, with Bro. McLean Faw officiating. Memorial srvices will be held in Fitzgerald at 4 PM, dimanche. Octobre 30, 2011 in the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Fant officiating. La famille recevra parents et amis à partir de 2:30 jusqu'à ce que 4 PM at the funeral home in Fitzgerald on Sunday.
M.. Hawkins was born March 17, 1951 in Kinston, North Carolina to Eleanor Nichols Hawkins Curry and the late Rev. George E. Hawkins. He lived in Charlotte, NC for the past 6 years moving from Bowens Mill where he lived for 20 ans. He was owner and operator of A1 Builders and Hawkins & Hawkins Cabinets. He was a master craftsman and a member of Bowens Mill Christian Center. He was a passionate about ministry and service to others.He loved to play the guitar and whistle.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife Jacqueline Furr Hawkins of Charlotte, NC and children, Christi and Tad Schirack of Bowens Mill, and Destiny Alesch of Jacksonville, Fl.; grandchildren Ryan, Seth, & Brooke Schirack, and Adam & Austin Alesch. Brothers Mark and Kay Hawkins of Monroe, Caroline du Nord, Joe Hawkins and Dan Hawkins both of Troy, Caroline du Nord, and Ben and Karen Hawkins of Charlotte, Caroline du Nord. Sisters Betty & Gilbert Green of Troy, NC and Pam & Berny Luton of Albemarle, Caroline du Nord.
