Paul Leon Johnson, 85, of Stockton, passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 30, 2011, at Langdale Hospice House after a brief illness. Il est né en juin 23, 1926, to the late Leon and Mae Timmerman Johnson in Lanier County. He was superintendent of Lee Engineering for 30 plus years before retiring in 1991. After retirement, he served on the Lanier County Tax Assessor Board for some time. Paul was a member of Stockton Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. He was also a member of the Lanier County Historical Society, Masonic Lodge No. 434, and election poll administrator.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eva Suelyn Johnson; deux frères, Harold D. Johnson and Robert R. Johnson; one brother-in-law, Laverne Clanton.
