Anne P. Tomlin, 86, of Saint Simons Island, GA died January 27, 2012 with her family by her side.
Born July 30, 1925 in Nashville, Tennessee, she moved to Atlanta, GA before attending college at the University of Georgia. Anne was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate receiving her BS in Business Administration.
She would later meet her husband, C. Richard Tomlin (deseased) and the two would make their home back in Atlanta, GA.
Anne had many successful years in business as in life.
In October 1987, Anne moved to Saint Simons Island, GA where she finished out her career as an affiliate real estate agent for Sea Island Properties. Prior to her retirement, Anne was the number one producer in the Sea Island Office.
Her contributions were many. She was selfless in everything she did, always watching out for the best interest of others before her own. A friend to all who knew her, Anne was indeed, Precious.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Anne T. Whittle of Saint Simons Island, GA and her son, C. Richard Tomlin, Jr. and his wife, Deanie of Eastville, VA Grandchildren, Christopher King Tomlin and his wife, Tonia of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Richard Wesley Tomlin and his wife, Dana of Charlotte, NC; Christy King Evans and her husband, Witt of Macon, GA; Jackson DeWitt King and his wife, Catherine of West Simsbury, CT Great Grandchildren include Victoria Lane Tomlin, Madison Anne Tomlin, Whitney Tyler Evans IV, Jackson King Evans, Libba King and Jackson DeWitt King, Jr. Brothers; Joe Strayhorn and wife, Betsy of Ithica, NY; Charles Marshall and wife, Sarah of Tullahoma, TN. Nieces Jillian Strayhorn and Emily Strayhorn of Ithica, NY.
