Bobby Ray Hudgins, 76, of Hahira died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hudgins was born on August 13, 1935 in Carrollton to the late George and Lilla Gant Hudgins and had lived in Hahira for the past thirty seven years. He was a member of the Pineview Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Hudgins was retired from Doctors Lab as Supervisor Lab Technician after forty four years of service. He loved fishing, building rocking chairs, stock car racing and was a member of Georgia Auto Racing Hall of Fame (GARHOFA). Mr. Hudgins loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Pat Hudgins of Hahira, four sons and daughter in laws, Terry and Marta Hudgins of Ridgeville, SC., Scott and Sharon Hudgins of Hahira, Chuck and Lesa Hudgins of Lenox, Randy and Susan Hudgins of Hahira, 13-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his cousin Dan (Elizabeth) Bremmer of Gainesville, GA. He was preceded in death by his uncle and aunt who raised him from the age of eight, Corbett and Lizzie McAdams of Buchanan, GA.
