Mr. Carl Anthony Dixon, 59, of Waycross died early Sunday morning after a brief illness. He was born in Waycross to the late Joseph Cecil Dixon and Cordell Harris Dixon. Mr. Dixon had made Waycross his home for all of his life. He worked early in life laying any type of floor covering and had recently worked for Pike Electric. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Dixon was full of life, always smiling and laughing. He loved to ride his motorcycle and fish. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Dixon is survived by his children, Jamie Dixon (Sissy) of Blackshear, Misty Ruger (Ashley) of Eastman, Kellie Williamson (Buddy) of Blackshear, Carla Dixon (David Dowling) of Blackshear, Derek Dixon (Jennifer) of Waycross, Jay Hipps of Waycross, Jenny Hipps Bryant (Andy) of Blackshear, nine grandchildren, Megan Hunter Musgrove, Kelcy Allbritton, Callie Pittman, Tristin Dixon, Dustin Bryant, Seth Bryant, Dillon Bryant, Leslie Sellers, Miranda Mercer (Bryan), two great grandchildren, Brian Mercer, Destiny Mercer, four brothers, Gary Dixon (Kathy) of Waycross, Dewayne Dixon of Waycross, Tracy Dixon (Kay) of Brantley County, Joey Dixon (Debbyee) of Waycross, the mothers of his children, Belinda McCutchen, Barbara J. Moore and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
