Clarence Hancock, 84, of Tifton died Wednesday Feb. 22, 2012 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 21, 1927 in Cook County to the late Jessie Hancock and the late Mattie Lee Walker. He retired from Nashville Mills and was a member of Vickers Church. He was an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a son: Chris Hancock and 3 sisters: Mozelle Gilbert, Maude Akridge, and Louise Carey.

He is survived by his wife: Susan Hancock of Tifton; daughter: Marie (Johnny) King of Enigma; son: Craig (Jo Ann) Hancock of Alapaha; two step sons: Henry Lee of Malaysia, and Steve Lee of N.Y.; stepdaughter: Fuiming (Christopher Chan) Lee of Malaysia; two sisters: Ola Belle (Dominic) Sanchez of Chicago, Ill. and Anna Merle Peshera of Palatka, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Adam (Natalie) Hancock, Justin (Casey) Hancock, Scotty King, Kristen Hancock, Lori (Steve) Winburn, Terrance Chan, and Rev. Rebecca King; 10 great-grandchildren: Will, Daniel, Mattie, Becky, Tiffany, Jenna Blake, Skylar, Alexander, Anthony, and Eli; 2 great grandchildren: Madison and Skylar.
