Emerson Collier, 73, of Omega died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Larry Daughtry, Rev. Ryan Carnes and Rev. Jerry Greer will officiate with burial to follow in Omega Cemetery. Eric Collier, Enrique Olguin, Artemio Gomez, Lorenzo Gomez, Jr., Jimmy Collier and Ricky Cromer will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Collier was born on August 24, 1938 in Colquitt County and was the son of Jim Collier and Mamie Exum Collier, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Louise Purvis and one brother, Clyde Collier. He was a farmer at Gibbs Patrick Farms and worked in maintenance at Curtis Packing Company. He was a member of Omega Church of God and dearly loved his family and church.

Mr. Collier is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wanda Sue Dorman Collier of Omega, who he loved dearly; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Gonzalo Olguin of Omega, Jennine and Lorenzo Gomez of Omega and Lisa and Adolfo Galvez of Ridgeland, South Carolina; one brother, Wayne Collier of Adel; two sisters, Ruby Ferguson of Moultrie and Lois Cromer of Tifton; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
