Mr. Freddie Lee “Jake” Temple, Sr. was born on January 29, 1942, in Ashburn, GA, Jake, as he was known affectionately by all who knew and loved him, spent most of his high school years at Monitor High School. Later in life, he moved to Ashburn, Georgia with his mother.

#At an early age, Jake gave his life to Christ and joined Zion Hope Baptist Church in Sycamore, Georgia. He served as a faithful member.

#Jake drove trucks for 42 years. After giving Southern Ag Carriers, Incorporated of Albany, Georgia 12 years of employment, Jake retired but continued to work part-time for 14 months for Ed Bacon of Sycamore, Georgia until January 4th, 2012.

#He leaves to cherish his memories his beautiful wife, his best friend, his love, and more, Alice Weaver Temple; daughters, Gloria Temple of Ashburn, Georgia, Tabatha “Kim” (Pernell) Glover of Albany, Georgia, Jasmine Faith M. Bryant of Valdosta, Georgia; sons, Freddie Lee Temple, Jr., Ricky (Beverly) Temple, Ronnie R. (Pam) Buchanan, all of Ashburn, Georgia, Reginald D. (Tashara) Temple of Atlanta, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sister, Ida T. (Alfred) Dunbar of Gainesville, Florida; brothers, John Walter Temple of Jasper, Florida, Jimmy L. Temple, David Temple, both of Ft. Myers, Florida, Sammy L. Temple of New York, Freddie L. Temple III and Johnny L. Temple, both of Jennings, Florida.
