Gertrude Moore Hinson was the daughter of the late James Goldwire Moore and Gertrude Barwick Moore. She was married to Byron Lindsay (Doc) Hinson, who preceded her in death. She was a longtime employee of Neel’s Department Store, a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed many years of membership in the Thomasville Garden Club. One of her favorite memories was when she and Doc spent time fishing on Lake Talquin.

She leaves her children, Bruce Hinson and wife Lea, Byron Hinson and wife Carol; grandchildren, Jeff Hinson and wife Michelle, Brad Hinson and wife Bree and Karen Forehand and husband, the Rev. Dr. Michael Hinson and wife Jane, Alan Hinson and wife Angie of Athens; great-grandchildren, Bill Roberts and wife Charity and Eric Hinson, Hunter, Gracen and Lindsay Hinson, Henry and Andrew Forehand, Lauren and Sam Hinson, and Morgan Hinson of Athens.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Charlie Bonner, Louise Lee and Edward Moore.
