Ja’Cassidy La’Fai “J Bug” Howard, 2, of Sycamore, formerly of Albany,  died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.

Timothy Goforth Jr., Dennis McCray, Alton Howard and Rudy Chavez will serve as pallbearers.

Ja’Cassidy was born Jan. 12, 2009, in Tifton to Martavius Kalvin Howard of Sylvester and Ashley Brooke Goforth of Sycamore, both of whom survive.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Flora Burns, Bobby Goforth Sr., and Marvin T. Jessie.

Ja’Cassidy was very energetic and loved Dora, big trucks, swimming, car racing, dogs, bicycles, playing with balloons and being outside. She also loved to be with her family and act like she was grown.

In addition to her parents, Ja’Cassidy is survived by her maternal grandparents, Tim and Kathy Goforth of Albany; maternal grandparents, Lynn and Johnny Parkerson of Eldorado; maternal great-grandmother, Brenda Goforth Jessie of Tifton; maternal great-grandparents, Wayne and Donnie K. Crocker of Tifton; maternal great-great-grandmother, Jeanette Franklin of Omega; paternal grandfather, T. T. Howard of Albany; paternal great-grandmother, Gladys “Toot” Howard of Sylvester; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, including special uncles and an aunt, Timothy “Phat” Goforth of Albany and Angel and Rudy Goforth of Ashburn.
