Mrs. Janice Ward Green, 57, of Omega, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at her residence. She was born May 23, 1954 in Adel to the late Thomas Preston Ward and Lois Lona Smith Ward Stone. Also preceding her in death was her twin brother, Jerry W. Ward.
She lived most of her life in Tift County and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Tift County. She was a retired general manager of Wendy’s in Tifton and served in the U.S. Air Force.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Green of Omega; daughter and son-in-law, Leigh and Rob Scott of Tifton; grandchildren, Trey and Addison Scott of Tifton; brother, Aubrey T. Ward of Sparks and two sisters, Bettie Tyson and Linda Meadows both of Adel.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Boone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dillard Ensley and Rev. Jimmy Parker officiating. Burial followed in Brushy Creek Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Ward, Chad Ward, Rusty Meadows, Gene Green, David Green and Brandon Ward.
Jack and Betty Joiner sang “Amazing Grace” and “Precious Memories”.
