Linda Joy Johns, 73 of Nahunta died Sunday morning (December 11, 2011) at Bayview Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Born in Nahunta, Ga her parents were Robert Johns and Amy “Johns” Johns. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Bonell Johns.
Linda worked as an Office Manager for Stephens Enterprise and wass a member of Hickox Baptist Church. She loved to do embroidery, and was president of the Nursing Home Association.
Survivors include two children Lynn Caudle of Brooking South Dakota, Dewayne (Jenny) Johns of Nahunta; 4 grand children, Melanie and Stacie Caudle of Brooking South Dakota, Trevor Finley of Conway South Carolina, and Julia Stephens of Nahunta; a brother, Andrew (Estha) Johns of Hoboken; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Johns of Waycross.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening (December 15, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A funeral service will be held Friday morning (December 16, 2011) at 11AM at Hickox Baptist Church with Rev. Ray McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony Crews, Darren Crews, Terry Steedley, William Lee, Marc Chancey, Andy Johns, J.R. Herrin, and Glen Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff at Bayview Nursing Home.
