A memorial service for Lois Baggett Hogan, 87, of Ochlocknee, will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Gene Brock and the Rev. Michael Stewart will officiate. Mrs. Hogan passed away Dec. 8, 2011, at Camellia Gardens. Born July 15, 1924, in Pine Park, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Baggett and Ellen Kent Baggett.

She was married to Ralph E. Hogan Sr., who preceded her in death. Mrs. Hogan was best loved as Mema to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family and garden were her life. Survivors include daughter, Kitty Hogan McEachin; son, Ralph E. Hogan Jr. and wife Donna, all of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Michelle McEachin Taylor and husband, Mark, Jake James and wife, Judie, all of Tallahassee, Fla., Kristina Hogan Kicklighter and husband, John, and Ralph E. Hogan, III (Buck), of Ochlocknee; great-grandchildren, Zac Taylor, Nic Taylor, Emily McEachin; sisters, Vanda Cooper and husband, Chuck, and Sybil Jones; brother, Edwin Baggett and wife, Judy, all of Ochlocknee; sister-in-law, Delycia Adams Baggett (Babs), of Thomasville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Lin Hogan James; grandson, Mac McEachin; brothers, George Baggett, Sidney Baggett, Oneal Baggett; and sister, Mildred Davis. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff and residents of Camellia Gardens and to her caregivers, Barbara Jean Stewart and Eunice Busby. Donations in her honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
