Ronald Thomas “Ronnie” Chambley, 63, of Chamblee died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Chambley was born on July 13, 1951 in Tifton and was the son of John Thomas Chambley and Lovie Dixon Chambley, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John “David” Chambley and William Freeman “Billy” Chambley; and a niece, Phyllis Joyce Kirk. He was a stage and lighting operator in the movie industry and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Chambley is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and James Kirk of Albany; and a nephew, James “Stephen” Kirk of Albany.
