Ruhama “Ruby” R. Ullman, 91, of Enigma died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 26, at 12:00 noon in the Fitzgerald Hebrew Congregation Cemetery with Rabbi Moshe Elbaz officiating.

Mrs. Ullman was born November 18, 1919 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the late Isaac and Sarah Barth Rothkopf. She held a B.S. Degree from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from Penn State University. She was a retired Lab Technician specializing in rare earth elements with Molycorp in Denver, CO. During World War II, she worked for Atlantic Gelatin Co. in Woburn, MA. She was also a former employee of Lady Esther Cosmetics in Chicago, IL. Mrs. Ullman was a member of Fitzgerald Hebrew Congregation, a member of the Democratic Party and a supporter of the Southern Poverty Law Center, and a volunteer for the AARP Tax Program.

She is survived by her sons: David L. Ullman of Enigma, Michael I. Ullman of Seattle, WA and Joseph S. Ullman of Arvada, CO; grandchildren: Arroxane (Michael) Eber of Dallas, TX, David L. (Yumi) Ullman, III of Seattle, WA and Daniel I. Morgan & Fiancee, Amanda Stroud of Tucson, AZ; great grandchildren: Riku Ullman, Reyo Ullman and Haden Eber and a sister: Shoshanah (Alfred) Garschick of Dedham, MA.; and sister-in-law, Jacqueline Kendall, Langhorne, PA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis L. Ullman, four brothers and one sister.
