Born on Dec. 5, 1986 in Cleveland, Tenn., Mr. Njoroge was the son of Dr. Joe G. Njoroge and Rev. Wambui (Margaret) Waiyaki Njoroge, both of Tifton.  He was a 2005 graduate of Tift County High School, who briefly attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and Valencia College in Orlando, Fla. He was an aspiring film editor and was currently studying film editing at the Los Angeles Film Institute.  He enjoyed traveling and had a passion for computers, especially online games.  Waiyaki was the first member in his family to be born outside of Africa.  His great-great grandfather is Waiyaki wa Hinga. He was a former member of Trinity Worship Center, Tifton, and most of his life a member of Knoxville Christian Center, Tenn.

Preceded in death by grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Gichuhi and Sarah Mbugua, of Limuru, Kenya and Mrs. & Mrs. Watson and Jane Waiyaki of Kikuyu, Kenya.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Ann Njoroge of West Hollywood, Calif.;  aunts and uncles, Jack Mbugua of Augusta, Grace Hinga of Scituate, R.I., Jeddidah Maima of Sandy Springs, Tony Maima of Worcester, Mass., and Aunt Miriam of New York; cousins, Geoffrey Njunge of Kansas City, Mo.; Carole Koine of Atlanta; Jayne and Raphael and family in Pittsburgh, Pa.; Angela and Matt Flynn of Scituate, R.I.; Watson Waiyaki, William Njoroge and Faith Maima of Sandy Springs; Waiyaki, Wangari and Nyonyo of New York; great cousins, Nicole Bahsoon of Sandy Springs, as well as Louisa and Waiyaki Flynn of Scituate, R.I.; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins and great cousins in Kenya, the United Kingdom and Australia.
