Mr. Henry Winston Bowen, 76 of Pierce County, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at the Bacon County Hospital.

Born in Blackshear on January 7, 1936, he had lived in Pierce County most of his life. Mr. Bowen was retired from Dell’s Machine Shop in Waycross and had also farmed. He was a US Army veteran and was a member of the Woodman of the World. Mr. Bowen was a dedicated member of Beulah Baptist Church where he was in the Men’s Sunday school class. He dearly loved his church and also loved animals.

Mr. Bowen was the son of the late Steven Grooms & Agnes Lynn Bowen.

He is survived by his aunt, Darcille Lynn Walker of Waycross; his dog, Blackie; two cats, Little Yellow Gal and Little Bud, and numerous cousins and friends.
